Position Overview:
As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day\-to\-day management of the practice. This is a leadership position that requires a proactive and solution\-oriented individual who can manage both clinical and administrative aspects of the practice. You will ensure that our team operates efficiently, maintain a high standard of patient care, and oversee the practice’s financial performance.
Duties
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Supervise, train, and support a team of dental professionals, including receptionists, hygienists, and dental assistants.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service, handling patient inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
- Develop and maintain effective scheduling systems to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.
- Handle billing, insurance claims, collections, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Oversee office supplies and inventory management to ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Ensure the practice complies with relevant healthcare regulations, including GDPR and CQC standards (if applicable).
- Assist with the preparation and management of the practice budget, financial reports, and forecasts.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure clear communication and team collaboration.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate marketing and patient outreach efforts to enhance patient acquisition and retention.
- Work closely with the clinical team to improve operational efficiencies and patient care quality.
- Previous experience in a dental practice management or similar healthcare management role is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem\-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in practice management software (e.g., SOE Exact, Dentrix, or similar systems).
- In\-depth knowledge of dental insurance processes, coding, and billing systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and managing office expenses.
- Proactive, friendly, and professional with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- A degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Pay: £31,737\.00\-£33,893\.00 per year
