Data Officer – Power Apps Developer (Information Technology)
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Contract: Temporary Assignment (7 September 2026 – 5 March 2027\)
Location: 70 Redcliff Street, Bristol, BS1 6AL
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
We're recruiting a Data Officer – Power Apps Developer to deliver practical digital solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. This is a project and service\-based role, ideal for candidates with strong Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate expertise, alongside experience in data modelling, data quality, data integration and application support.
About the Role:
You'll work with users and stakeholders to gather requirements, design, develop, test and maintain data collection applications and workflow solutions. You'll use Microsoft Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate to manage data and automate processes, while ensuring solutions meet business requirements and maintain high standards of data quality and integration.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Gathering and understanding user requirements and translating them into practical digital solutions
- Designing, developing and maintaining data collection applications using Microsoft Power Apps
- Using Dataverse and Power Automate to manage data and automate business processes
- Applying sound data modelling, data quality and data integration principles
- Supporting data integration processes, including ETL activities
- Testing applications, identifying issues and troubleshooting problems
- Providing ongoing application support in a live environment
- Working closely with users and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements
- Following Microsoft Power Platform best practices and governance where applicable
- Proven experience developing solutions using Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate
- Experience gathering user requirements and translating them into practical digital solutions
- Experience testing, troubleshooting and supporting applications in a live environment
- Good understanding of data modelling and data quality principles
- Understanding of data integration and ETL processes
- Strong communication and problem\-solving skills
- Experience working within a public sector or local government environment is desirable
- Experience developing data collection or workflow automation solutions is desirable
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform best practices and governance is desirable
