Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Assistant
- Location \- Bramley Cottage, Station Lane, Bristol
You will support individuals to continue to develop their independence, build new skills, access the community, increase their socialising and to go on occasional holidays and trips. You will be supported by and working with a friendly and pro\-active team. The services are located close to several local bus routes.
Positive Behaviour Support Assistants will identify the needs of the individuals we support, who communicate their needs through behaviours by working in a person centred way and finding positive and healthy means of fulfilling those needs.
Responsibilities:
· To provide support to our tenants, promoting individuality, identity, rights, choice, privacy, independence, dignity and respect through informed choice.
· To respond to the particular needs of the people we support in relation to the nature of their support needs (including mental or physical health).
· Contribute toward the development and implementation of PBS plans, strategies and risk management.
· Support the service users to achieve positive outcomes and to enable them to participate within their local community.
· Work within policies and procedures to administer medication as required
· When required, support service users with personal care, domestic tasks and maintaining their home.
· To complete and maintain written records.
