Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Metal Polisher to join an established engineering facility based in Witham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for polishing and finishing a range of metal components, primarily aluminium, ensuring all work meets the required quality and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out polishing and finishing operations on various metals, primarily aluminium.
- Use hand tools, power tools and specialist polishing equipment.
- Inspect surfaces before and after polishing to identify scratches, defects and imperfections.
- Prepare materials by cleaning, degreasing and applying appropriate compounds or coatings.
- Monitor the quality of finished surfaces and make adjustments where required.
- Maintain and clean polishing equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with polishing processes, equipment and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of processes, materials and quality inspections.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for quality.
- Previous experience in a polishing, finishing or similar manufacturing role is desirable.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings.
- Practical and hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a wider production team.
- Reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
40 hours per week
Salary
Up to £17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
