Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator on behalf of our client based in Braintree on a Temp to Perm basis.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery to manufacture components to specification.
- Set up, load and operate CNC machines for production runs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and production instructions.
- Measure and inspect finished components using a range of measuring equipment.
- Make basic machine adjustments to ensure product quality and accuracy.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and report any faults or issues.
- Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Maintain accurate production records where required.
- Keep the work area clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
- Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production deadlines are met.
- Assist with other manufacturing or workshop duties when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
- Follow company procedures and safe working practices at all times.
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers or gauges.
- Good understanding of machining processes and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to identify and report production or machine issues.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
Hours:
- Days: Monday – Thursday, 13:30 - Midnight
