We are currently recruiting for an experienced Breakdown and Service Gas Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled engineer who takes pride in high standards, logical fault\-finding, and delivering excellent customer service.
You will be responsible for diagnosing faults efficiently, achieving first\-time fixes wherever possible, and proactively identifying issues before they become major failures. A key part of the role is advising customers on system improvements and upgrades to enhance safety, efficiency, and long\-term performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out breakdown repairs and servicing on domestic gas appliances and systems
- Accurate fault\-finding with a strong focus on first\-time fix and lasting repairs
- Use of diagnostic tools, including multimeters, to ensure correct diagnosis
- Identify and report potential issues, offering upgrade or improvement solutions where appropriate
- Maintain high standards of gas safety and compliance at all times
- Provide clear, professional communication with customers and internal teams
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in gas breakdown and servicing
- Strong fault\-finding skills with a methodical, logical approach
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic
- Full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, Heating \& Gas
- CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety
- CPA1 – Combustion Performance Analysis
- CENWAT – Domestic Gas Central Heating, Boilers \& Water Heaters
- CKR1 – Domestic Gas Cookers
- HTR1 – Domestic Gas Fires \& Wall Heaters
- MET1 – Domestic Gas Meters
- G3 – Unvented Hot Water Systems
- An engineer who takes ownership of their work

Pay: £42,500\.00 per year
