Plumber/Heating Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, and associated pipework.


• Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance.


• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing techniques to complete tasks efficiently.


• Perform basic carpentry and assembly work as required during installation processes.


• Carry out heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely in accordance with health and safety regulations.


• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical knowledge and diagnostic skills.


• Maintain detailed records of work completed and parts used.


• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and building regulations.


• Assist with the training of junior staff or apprentices when necessary.

• Proven experience in heating system installation, maintenance, or repair is essential.


• Proficiency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work is highly desirable.


• Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment.


• Mechanical knowledge related to commercial heating systems or similar machinery.


• Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and technical documentation.


• Experience with commercial driving or operating large vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.


• Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring heavy lifting and extended periods on your feet. Pay: £38,000\.00\-£50,000\.00 per year
