Plumber/ gas engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and gas systems across commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem\-solving skills, and the ability to work safely in various environments. Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems in accordance with safety standards and regulations


• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues with plumbing or gas installations


• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently


• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation or repairs


• Troubleshoot mechanical problems within plumbing and gas systems, applying appropriate solutions


• Carry out assembly of components for new installations or upgrades


• Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, including the safe handling of gas appliances


• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each project


• Assist with site preparation and clean\-up after job completion

Experience

• Proven experience as a plumber or gas engineer in a commercial or residential setting


• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, gas regulations, and safety procedures


• Proficiency in welding, using hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques


• Mechanical knowledge related to system diagnostics and repairs


• Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and material estimations


• Experience with carpentry tasks related to installation projects is desirable


• Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is preferred


• Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in confined or elevated spaces

Pay: £28,044\.50\-£44,497\.35 per year
