We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Present, a category B Prison located in Preston.
HMP Preston is a remand male prison age from 18 \+ and a capacity of 680\.
The Pharmacy Technician will be based in the pharmacy team based in the healthcare department and some expectations to work on the wing.
You will be working as part of a team that consist of a team of 6 including pharmacist and 5 technicians.
Hours:
- Monday \- Sunday service
- 37\.5 hours per week
- 7\.30am \- 6\.00pm
- 2 / 4 weekends a month
- 4 week rolling rota
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £34,428 \- £41,658 per annum \- depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
- Deliver non\-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
