Pharmacy Technician
Job Overview

Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with doctors' prescriptions and legal requirements
- Prepare and check prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner
- Carry out administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy
- Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Oversee medication administration procedures to ensure safety and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans
- Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure the proper storage of pharmaceutical products
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring adherence to operational protocols
- Educate patients on health matters and promote health awareness initiatives
- Fully qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or equivalent regulatory body ideally with ACT qualification
- Proven experience in pharmacy practice, ideally with pharmacy technician experience beneficial
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care standards
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in dispensing processes
- Effective communication skills, capable of providing clear guidance to patients and team members
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to regulatory standards

Pay: £12\.71\-£15\.00 per hour
