Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties

• Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with doctors' prescriptions and legal requirements


• Prepare and check prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner


• Carry out administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy


• Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions


• Oversee medication administration procedures to ensure safety and compliance with healthcare regulations


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans


• Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions


• Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure the proper storage of pharmaceutical products


• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring adherence to operational protocols


• Educate patients on health matters and promote health awareness initiatives

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or equivalent regulatory body ideally with ACT qualification


• Proven experience in pharmacy practice, ideally with pharmacy technician experience beneficial


• Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care standards


• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in dispensing processes


• Effective communication skills, capable of providing clear guidance to patients and team members


• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment


• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to regulatory standards
