Minerva Clinical Services is an independent pharmacy located in a modern building at the heart of the growing community of Upper Heyford in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. It is linked to Alchester Medical Group in nearby Bicester and enjoys a close working relationship with primary care. Regular GP appointments are offered in purpose built consulting rooms within the pharmacy, which also provide space for pharmacy consultations.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacist by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and committed to providing high\-quality patient support.

Duties

  • Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy protocols

  • Assist pharmacists with medication administration and ensure proper labelling and storage of pharmaceuticals

  • Provide excellent patient care by answering queries, offering medication guidance, and supporting medication management

  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and patient information in compliance with legal and organisational standards

  • Support the organisation of pharmacy stock levels, including ordering and stock rotation

  • Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient medication plans and support overall care delivery
Skills
  • Proven pharmacy technician experience and GPhC registration for the role

  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy

  • Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism
