Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties

  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently

  • Manage medication stock levels, including ordering and stock rotation

  • Prepare and package medications under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards

  • Provide excellent customer service by answering queries and offering medication advice within scope of practice

  • Support patient care activities such as medication administration and health monitoring as directed by pharmacists

  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medication logs, and patient information

  • Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations

  • Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and appointment scheduling
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or assistant is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care procedures

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and data entry

  • A recognised qualification in pharmacy assistance or related field is preferred but not essential
