Personal Injury Paralegal

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our busy Personal Injury department within our Taunton office. Some previous legal experience or training is provided.

JOB DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE OF JOB: To maintain responsibility for own workload and assist all staff

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS,

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· A Level education a minimum but preference of a Law Degree

· Computer keyboard skills

AREAS OF WORK:

Paralegal work:

· To assist lawyers with their work load, and to maintain own work load

· To prepare bundles for court, assist lawyers with their photocopying \& filing

· To deal with Helpline and New Enquiry calls

· To manage all client work in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm’s Office Manual.

· To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.

· At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.

· To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client documentation and information.

· To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.

· To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.

· To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.

· To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.

· To take responsibility for and attend to self\-development.

· In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the SRA

· In liaison with Head of department and other partners, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £23,500\.00\-£25,000\.00 per year
