Personal Care Assistant

A personal assistant is needed to work alongside 4 already in post personal assistants supporting a teenage young man with all aspects of daily living.

The person must be caring, compassionate and trustworthy.

They should also be able to work in a home environment with others who support the young person. Duties will include, but not limited to, assisting with personal care, dressing etc. Help with meals and keeping the person safe and stimulated as well as keeping the young person’s personal space and equipment clean and tidy. Transportation to and from college. Days out doing activities the young person enjoys.

The hours are worked on a rota basis. The successful applicant will need to be flexible to cover holiday and any sick leave with these hours worked as overtime. Night sleep duties are essential to cover holidays etc. and are paid at a rate in excess of £126\.00 per night. All shifts are worked on a 2:1 basis.

Criteria: The position is subject to DBS check. Applicants MUST have a clean driving license. as they will be required to drive the young persons Motability vehicle.

No previous experience is necessary but you must be a positive and confident person, be looking for work that will make a positive difference to someone and be sensitive and caring.

Expenses paid and training courses where considered reasonable will be provided.

Due to this position being in a private residence, any applicant invited to interview will be asked to meet in a public place due to safeguarding.
