Personal Assistant/Support Worker

UK Driving License essential.

Kieran, a 28 year old man living in Fernhill, Rutherglen is looking to recruit a personal assistant/support worker to join his small team.

Kieran is looking for someone who is kind and patient, enthusiastic and proactive \- someone who will encourage and support him to enjoy life and take part in meaningful activities and day trips out. He enjoys a wide range of interests, including walking, music, films, cafes, ten\-pin bowling, museums, The Sealife centre, The Science Centre, The Burrell Collection, football, and learning new things. He also loves walking his dog, so being dog friendly is essential.

Kieran is an intelligent and engaging individual with autism, non\-verbal, and has severe anxiety. He communicates using an app on the iPad and requires someone who can support him with compassion, patience and confidence. He also has limited fine and gross motor skills, so hands\-on assistance is required for many every day activities. He values someone who is patient, understanding and respectful, someone who can support him at his own pace and help him build confidence in new situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting him with daily routines and developing independent living skills.

Accompanying him on outings and engaging in leisure activities that he enjoys.

Prompting and assistance with personal care and self\-help skills throughout the day.

Providing flexible support as part of a small team.

Position Details:

Permanent positions : Up to 25 Hours per week are available during the day and 20 hours

on a night shift.

Working Hours: Day shifts \- Monday to Saturday 11am to 4pm. (Any combination of days)

OR

Night shifts \- Two nights a week 10pm to 8am (these hours can be flexible)

(Flexibility is preferred, as additional hours may be available to cover team leave).
