Personal Assistant (Male Preferred) (Bishopbriggs) – GCIL ED CN/RC.01\.25

I am looking for a caring, patient, reliable and fun\-loving, Personal Assistant who can support my 17 year old son, ideally we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will engage with my son who has autism and a learning disability, living in Bishopbriggs.

Your role will be to provide support with personal care, support to develop the skills that he needs to carry out activities of daily living; support to access the social and leisure activities that he enjoys and support to build friendships and connections.

My son loves to learn about countries\- their flags, languages and cultures. In the house he like to play games, we play a bingo and he loves conversations about the world, he also likes playing FIFA, to listen to music and dance. He will play on his laptop and teach you about the everything he has learned about the world. Out of the house he loves swimming, bowling, eating out, going to the cinema and socialising.

We would like to hear from people who enjoy these activities too and want to help him to achieve his potential.

Due to the nature of the role a male candidate is preferred.

Must be physically fit

Experience of supporting young people with Autism and a learning disability desirable but not essential.

Driver with clean licence desirable but not essential

Swimmer

Rate of pay £17\.50 per hour

If the probationary period is successful the hourly rate will increase

Up to 15 hours per week available

(After school, evening and weekends, days/ times can be discussed at interviews.)

Successful applicant will require a PVG, it is the responsibility of the Personal Care Assistant to pay for and upkeep the PVG
