Location: Midlands \& Staffordshire (covering 3 Supported Living Schemes and 1 Care Home)
Hours: Full\-time, Monday to Friday (flexibility required for occasional observations and service needs)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner to join our team, supporting adults with learning disabilities across three Supported Living services and one Care Home in the Midlands and Staffordshire area.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing quality of life, promoting person\-centred support, and embedding Positive Behaviour Support across services. You will work closely with operational teams to develop proactive, evidence\-based approaches that improve outcomes for the people we support.
The successful candidate will be supported by the Clinical Support Manager for ECHO and will work collaboratively with managers, support teams, families, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities
· Supporting the oversight of Tier 1 PBS Support.
· Manager a caseload of named people to lead on person led assessments and reports.
· Complete Quality of Life Assessments and develop recommendations to improve outcomes.
· Undertake Functional Assessments of Behaviour.
· Produce high\-quality PBS reports and assessment documentation.
· Develop, review and oversee Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
· Deliver PBS training to support staff teams.
· Facilitate reflective practice sessions to enhance staff skills and confidence.
· Provide coaching and role modelling within services to promote best practice.
· Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of PBS interventions.
· Support services to embed person\-centred, proactive approaches that reduce restrictive practices and improve quality of life.
About You
You will have:
· Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and behaviours of concern.
· Knowledge and understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and practice.
· Experience completing behavioural assessments and developing PBS plans.
· Strong report writing and communication skills.
· Experience delivering training and facilitating reflective practice.
· The ability to work independently while building positive relationships with multidisciplinary teams and service staff.
· A PBS level 3 of equivalent qualification.
· A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands and Staffordshire.
