Payroll Officer
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Payroll Manager to take ownership of our payroll function on a part\-time basis. This is a standalone role responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll for approximately 280 employees using the iTrent system.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage end\-to\-end payroll processing for approx. 265 employees on a regular cycle
· Ensure payroll is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time
· Maintain and update employee payroll records within iTrent
· Process salary changes, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
· Handle payroll queries and provide excellent support to employees and managers
· Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, pension contributions, and relevant legislation
· Prepare payroll reports and support finance with reconciliations
· Liaise with external bodies where required (e.g. HMRC, pension providers)
About You
· Previous experience in a payroll management role
· Strong working knowledge of iTrent payroll system including HR (essential)
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
· Strong communication and problem\-solving skills
· Flexibility required to meet payroll deadlines
Job Type: Part\-time
Pay: Up to £30,000\.00 per year
