About the Role
As a Passenger Assistant with Techxi, you’ll play an important part in supporting children and young people with special educational needs on their daily journey to and from school or college. You’ll travel in one of our private hire cars or minibuses, ensuring every passenger feels safe, supported, and reassured throughout their journey.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervising and assisting students with additional or complex needs
- Offering reassurance, kindness, and patience at all times
- Communicating with parents, carers, and school staff
- Helping create a calm and positive travel experience
- Ensuring safety throughout pick\-up, drop\-off and travel
Full training can be provided, including any additional authority\-required courses.
What You Need
- A caring, reliable and patient approach
- Sensitivity to individual needs
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check (covered by us)
- Ability to subscribe to the DBS Update Service (£16/year)
Training \& Compliance
Depending on the local authority requirements, additional training such as *RCT Safeguarding* may be needed — and we’ll arrange this for you.
These posts are exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order 1975\) and require an enhanced DBS certificate.
