Passenger Assistant

Duties

• Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and securing themselves safely on vehicles


• Provide compassionate support to passengers with mobility issues, including those with assisted living or dementia care needs


• Ensure passenger safety by monitoring behavior and managing any behavioral challenges effectively


• Support passengers requiring special care such as Alzheimer's or hospice care by offering reassurance and companionship


• Help with heavy lifting when necessary, including assisting with wheelchairs, mobility aids, or luggage


• Maintain a clean and organized environment within the vehicle, including meal preparation or distribution if needed


• Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and medication administration when required


• Drive vehicles responsibly while adhering to traffic laws and company policies

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments is highly desirable


• Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or senior care is a strong plus


• Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience in driving commercial or passenger vehicles preferred


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the shift


• Demonstrated skills in behavior management and caregiving techniques


• First aid certification or willingness to obtain training upon hire


• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards diverse passenger needs


• Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends

Pay: £12\.71\-£13\.50 per hour
