Part Time Warehouse Operative

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling materials, managing inventory, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast\-paced environment.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment for materials handling.


• Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations.


• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of goods.


• Engage in picking and packing orders with precision to meet customer requirements.


• Stock shelves and maintain an organised warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.


• Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure standards are met.


• Assist with heavy lifting and loading/unloading of goods from lorries as required.


• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.


• Answering phones and assisting with queries.

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.


• Proficiency in materials handling techniques, including experience with forklifts is advantageous.


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial for effective inventory control.


• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance as needed.


• Ability to perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with operational standards.


• Capability to engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout the shift.
