Part-time Veterinary Receptionist
Overview
Park Vets are looking for a part\-time receptionist to join our Pontypridd branch on a permanent basis.

Veterinary receptionists are a key part of a practice team in providing optimal patient care and customer service. Within their role, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and their human carers!
The ideal candidate would be friendly and empathetic with a drive to be part of a team aiming to provide the best possible care for our patients and clients in a busy veterinary practice.
Previous experience of reception work is preferred but not essential with training provided for the successful applicant.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate client visits effectively
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and provide information about services offered
- Maintain accurate and organised client records and pet histories
- Process payments and handle billing procedures accurately
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and ordering stock as needed
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
- Proficiency in using computer software for record keeping and scheduling purposes
- A friendly demeanour with a genuine interest in animal welfare and client care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the clinic environment
