Part\-Time Receptionist

Job Summary

Lanesborough House Care Centre is seeking a professional, organised and friendly Receptionist to join our team. This is a front\-facing role where you will represent the home in a positive and welcoming manner. The successful candidate will be efficient, self\-motivated and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and professional manner

  • Open and process incoming post, ensuring important correspondence is brought to the attention of the Manager

  • Use office equipment to accurately complete administrative and typing tasks

  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls appropriately

  • Ensure messages are communicated promptly while maintaining confidentiality

  • Monitor office and stationery supplies and place orders with approved suppliers as required

  • Organise meetings, take minutes, and distribute documentation within agreed timescales

  • Arrange travel bookings when necessary

  • Manage workload effectively and respond to unexpected tasks to meet deadlines

  • Conduct show rounds and collect relevant visitor information

  • Provide support to the Home Manager and Administrator when required

  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and professional reception area at all times
Please note that these duties are not exhaustive, and additional responsibilities may be assigned in line with the role and the needs of the service.

Working Hours

  • Week 1\- Monday, Tuesday, Friday

  • Week 2\- Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday \& Sunday

  • Averages out at 26\.25 hours per week

  • Be confident using office equipment and administrative systems
