Part Time Marketing & Admin Assistant
Location: EKCO, Uphall, West Lothian
Hours: 24 Hours, 3 days per week
Working days: Friday and Saturday are required, with the third working day chosen from Monday to Thursday
About the Role
EKCO is looking for a creative, organised, and enthusiastic Part\-Time Marketing \& Administration Assistant to join the team at our Uphall showroom.
This role would be ideal for a university student or recent graduate studying Marketing or a similar subject who is looking to gain practical, hands\-on marketing experience.
The position will be primarily focused on supporting EKCO's marketing activity across our kitchen, bathroom, and glazing divisions, while also providing general administrative and showroom support to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create and schedule regular social media posts, reels, stories and other digital content for social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest.
- Update EKCO's websites with new projects, imagery, product information, and case studies.
- Support ongoing SEO activity, including optimising website copy, page titles, meta descriptions and project content to improve organic search visibility.
- Assist with email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
- Help monitor website, social media and marketing performance and compile basic reports.
- Support photography and video content, including gathering material from completed projects and helping coordinate external photographers or videographers.
- Assist with the organisation and promotion of showroom events.
- Help ensure showroom displays, brochures and presentation areas remain well organised, up to date and presented to a high standard.
- Keep marketing databases and digital assets organised and up to date.
- Provide showroom support, including answering telephone calls and welcoming visitors.
- Assist with general administrative duties and ad hoc support where required.
- Provide assistance to company directors where required.
We are looking for someone who is creative, organised and keen to develop practical experience within a varied marketing role.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be studying towards or have recently completed a degree in Marketing or a related subject.
- Have a strong interest in social media, digital marketing, content creation and SEO.
- Be confident creating engaging written and visual content.
- Have strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Be highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Be creative and confident in contributing new ideas.
- Be proactive and comfortable working independently.
- Be friendly, professional and confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Have good general IT and digital skills.
- Be willing to learn and get involved across different areas of the business when required.
- Be available to work Fridays and Saturdays on a permanent basis.
Pay: £14\.00\-£15\.00 per hour
