Hymans Jewellers is a long\-established independent jewellers in the heart of Leeds city centre. We pride ourselves on offering exceptional customer service in a friendly and welcoming environment, and we are looking for a reliable, professional and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

This is a permanent part\-time position and would suit someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work and is happy to be involved in all aspects of the day\-to\-day running of an independent retail business.

Hours

• 16 hours per week


• Friday and Saturday, 9:00am – 5:00pm


• Additional paid hours are regularly available to cover holidays, sickness and busy trading periods.

Main Responsibilities

• Providing a warm, friendly and professional welcome to customers.


• Assisting customers with jewellery, watches and gift purchases.


• Processing sales and card payments.


• Gift wrapping purchases.


• Processing, packing and posting online orders.


• Receiving and organising deliveries.


• Assisting with stock management and stock presentation.


• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and general housekeeping throughout the showroom.


• Running occasional local errands, including banking, post office visits and other business\-related tasks.


• Supporting colleagues and helping ensure the smooth day\-to\-day operation of the business.

• Able to demonstrate the highest levels of honesty, integrity and discretion when working with high\-value jewellery and watches.

Previous retail or customer service experience would be an advantage, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Recruitment Process

As this role involves handling high\-value jewellery and watches, the successful applicant will be required to:

• Provide two satisfactory employment or character references.


• Successfully complete a Basic DBS check.


• Provide evidence of their right to work in the UK.
