Part Time Cook
Location: The Bay Horse Inn, Pickering
Salary: £13\.10\- £14\.30 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Shifts between 11am\-10pm
Days of Work: Mon\-Sun, 5 days out of 7

FLM leisure are seeking and experienced cook to join the busy kitchen team and will work to produce great food following all our meal specifications. The Bay Horse Inn is in the heart of Pickering and is a busy, fast paced business offering a high standard of customer service, drinks and food.
Role Overview
As a cook in our busy kitchen, you will be a passionate and motivated person. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen during your shift whilst driving our food concept forward. You will work closely with the wider pub and kitchen team as well as the Management team. With a keen eye for maintaining the highest standards and thriving during a fast\-paces service, you will become and invaluable member of the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, cook and present food that meets the specifications and customer expectations
· Maintain very high hygiene standards and safety regulations to ensure the safety of the entire team and visitors
· Communicate clearly and promptly with the team to provide high quality meals to customers on time
· Complete daily, weekly and monthly kitchen checks as per the schedule and record details in the appropriate record books provided and ensure the kitchen always remains compliant
· Ensure you remain up to date with all food hygiene and safety
· Completing opening and closing procedures at the start or end of your shift, including but not exclusive to, cleaning tasks using correct products, checking equipment is safe to use.
· Preparing ingredients for the next shift
· Monitoring food stock levels and informing Kitchen Manager when low on items including cleaning products
· Quality control of all meals
· Rotating stock items as per procedures
· Correctly storing food items at the correct temperatures

Key Skills \& Experience
You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a fast\-paced kitchen, preparing ingredients, your workstation, the team and cooking meals to the set specifications. You will have the skills to establish a working routine in the kitchen where an effective and efficient service is established and maintained at all times. You will have experience of FSA inspections and the standards required to achieve a level 5 rating and support the business to maintain this rating at subsequent inspections.
