Home Care Worker

Location: Eldercare Pickering and Kirbymoorside

Salary: £13\.35 – £13\.85 per hour (Monday–Friday)

£14\.85 – £15\.35 per hour (Weekends)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time

As a Care Assistant, you will deliver person\-centred care tailored to each Service User, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care according to Care/Support Plans


• Administer medication safely in line with policies


• Build strong, respectful relationships with Service Users


• Communicate effectively with families and professionals


• Follow all company policies and procedures


• Supporting individuals in their own homes


• Assisting with personal care (washing, bathing, moving \& handling)


• Preparing meals and supporting with shopping


• Light housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry


• Supporting access to appointments and social activities


• Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes


• Supporting with finances where required


• Assisting with pet care


• Maintaining a safe and respectful home environment

• Kind, patient, and reliable individuals


• Good communication skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Flexible and willing to travel between Service Users’ homes


• Commitment to training and development
