Part-Time Business Development Manager – Security Services
Overview
Quick Force Limited is seeking an experienced Part\-Time Business Development Manager – Security Services to generate and win new commercial security contracts.
Quick Force Limited is an SIA Approved Contractor for Security Guarding, providing professional security services to businesses and organisations across the UK.
This is a business development role, not simply an appointment\-setting or telesales position.
We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience selling manned guarding, security guarding or facilities management services in the UK who can independently identify prospective clients, reach decision\-makers, develop opportunities and progress them towards contract award.
The role is primarily remote and field based. The successful candidate will be expected to attend client meetings and site surveys where required.
Responsibilities
- Independently identify and generate new commercial security opportunities.
- Build and manage your own prospect database and sales pipeline.
- Research prospective clients and identify relevant decision\-makers.
- Conduct professional cold calling and outbound prospecting.
- Generate opportunities through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals and existing industry relationships.
- Develop relationships with Facilities Managers, Procurement Managers, Operations Managers, Property Managers, Site Managers, Security Managers, Managing Directors and other relevant decision\-makers.
- Target sectors including facilities management, construction, property management, warehousing and logistics, hotels, retail, commercial property, offices, industrial sites, student accommodation, vacant property and other organisations requiring security services.
- Approach Facilities Management companies, property organisations, contractors and other potential strategic partners.
- Identify businesses reviewing their existing security arrangements or requiring a new security provider.
- Qualify prospective clients and understand their security requirements.
- Arrange and attend telephone, Teams and face\-to\-face client meetings.
- Arrange and attend site surveys where required.
- Gather relevant information about security hours, officer requirements, duties, access arrangements, patrol requirements and other operational needs.
- Work with Quick Force management and operations to develop appropriate security solutions.
- Prepare or assist with professional quotations, proposals and tender opportunities.
- Present security proposals to prospective clients.
- Follow up quotations and proposals systematically.
- Conduct commercial discussions and negotiations within agreed company parameters.
- Progress opportunities from initial prospecting through to contract award.
- Support the handover of successful contracts to Operations for mobilisation.
- Maintain relationships with new clients and identify opportunities for additional sites and services.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, contacts, meetings, site surveys, quotations, opportunities and contract progress.
- Provide regular pipeline updates to Quick Force management.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous business development or sales experience within UK security guarding, manned guarding, facilities management or a closely related B2B service.
- Experience generating their own leads and business opportunities.
- Strong cold\-calling and outbound prospecting ability.
- Experience identifying and approaching commercial decision\-makers.
- Strong relationship\-building and networking skills.
- Experience managing a B2B sales pipeline.
- Experience arranging and attending client meetings.
- Understanding of commercial security requirements.
- Experience with site surveys would be advantageous.
- Experience preparing quotations and commercial proposals.
- Ability to follow opportunities through from initial contact to contract award.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/field\-based position.
- Good organisational and follow\-up skills.
- Experience using CRM or another structured sales\-pipeline system.
Important – New Business Generation
The successful candidate must be capable of generating their own prospects and opportunities.
This role is not designed for someone who expects Quick Force Limited to provide a continuous list of warm leads.
We want an experienced business developer who knows how to research target organisations, identify the appropriate decision\-makers, make initial contact, develop relationships, create opportunities and progress those opportunities towards commercial contracts.
Performance
Performance will be assessed based on meaningful commercial results, including:
- Qualified decision\-makers contacted
- Qualified business opportunities generated
- Client meetings
- Site surveys
- Quotations and proposals
- Value of active sales pipeline
- Contracts won
- New revenue generated
- Gross profit generated from new business
- Development of long\-term client relationships
Working Arrangement
- Part\-time: approximately 20 hours per week
- Remote / field based
- Flexible working arrangement
- Travel to prospective client meetings and site surveys when required
- 3\-month initial probationary period
£16,000–£20,000 per year for approximately 20 hours per week, depending on relevant experience and proven track record.
Plus uncapped commission on qualifying new business.
Full commission terms will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
