The role of a Part Qualified Accountant in Caerphilly involves supporting the Accounting & Finance team within the retail industry. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and helping the business make informed decisions.

Description

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the finance function and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This hands-on position offers involvement in management accounting, financial reporting, purchasing, sales ledger, credit control, stock management, forecasting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.


• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.


• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.


• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.


• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.


• Assist in preparing financial statements and tax returns.


• Provide support during audits and implement any required recommendations.


• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and practices.

A successful Part Qualified Accountant should have:

• Part-qualified status in a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AAT).


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.


• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.


• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.

• Salary ranging from £33,500 to £37,500, dependent on the level of experience.


• Permanent position in Caerphilly.
