Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to provide urgent medical care and support in emergency situations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high\-quality patient care, ensuring safety during transportation, and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams. Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the medical needs of patients at the scene.
- Provide advanced life support, including airway management, CPR, and defibrillation.
- Administer injections, medications, and other treatments following established protocols.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and vital sign assessments.
- Utilise comprehensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy to inform patient care decisions.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
- Document patient information accurately and comprehensively in accordance with legal and organisational standards.
- Safely operate emergency vehicles, ensuring timely arrival at healthcare facilities while adhering to road safety regulations.
- Assist with triage in mass casualty incidents or high\-pressure situations.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move patients or equipment safely.
- Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained, sterilised, and ready for use at all times.
- Valid registration as a Paramedic with recognised healthcare authorities.
- Proven experience in critical care settings or hospital environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy.
- Experience with medication administration and injection techniques.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating emergency vehicles safely.
- Physical fitness capable of handling physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
