Packaging Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate Packaging Designer to join our fast\-paced, creative packaging team.

This is a full time, permanent position and is fully office based in our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24\.

Reporting to our Head Packaging Designer, and working closely with our Buyers, you will work on a variety of creative briefs, from seasonal lines such as Christmas and Halloween, garden, and picnic, to everyday lines such as homewares, cleaning, pet, stationery to name but a few. Packaging styles include swing tags, wrap bands, backing cards, full colour boxes and CDUs. The role will include own\-brand design and trend led concepts that will be rolled out over numerous products.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Creating impactful, trend\-led packaging designs that align with brand guidelines and customer appeal.


• Developing creative concepts from brief through to final artwork across a variety of product categories.


• Designing packaging formats including swing tags, wrap bands, backing cards, full\-colour boxes, CDUs and point\-of\-sale materials.


• Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met in a fast\-paced retail environment.


• Collaborating closely with Buyers and the wider Packaging Team to deliver commercially successful packaging solutions.


• Producing accurate, print\-ready artwork and ensuring all files meet production and supplier specifications.


• Researching market, colour and design trends to drive innovative packaging concepts and own\-brand development.

• A minimum of 4 years design agency experience, or have worked in a fast paced, in\-house environment.


• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.


• Have a great portfolio showcasing unique creative ideas, a passion for design and excellent attention to detail.


• Ability to manage their own workload and ensure deadlines are met.


• Ability to adapt to changing work priorities at short notice.


• A keen eye for detail, quality and overall stand out design.
