Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Role: Collections Driver
Vehicle Required: Long Wheel Base (LWB) Van
About the Role
We are looking for reliable and professional Owner Van Drivers who own a Long Wheel Base (LWB) van to carry out scheduled collections on behalf of our business.
The role involves collecting goods from customers and suppliers and ensuring they are transported safely and securely to the designated location. You will be representing our business when dealing with customers, so a professional and friendly manner is essential.
This is a Monday to Friday, daytime\-only role, with working hours between 9:00am and 5:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled collections efficiently and on time.
- Safely load, secure and transport goods.
- Check collection details and ensure the correct goods are collected.
- Complete any required delivery/collection paperwork or electronic confirmations.
- Maintain good communication with the transport/operations team.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
- Keep your vehicle clean, roadworthy and presentable.
- Comply with all relevant road traffic, health and safety requirements.
- Report any issues, delays, damages or collection problems promptly.
- Own a Long Wheel Base (LWB) van in good, clean and roadworthy condition.
- Full UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
- Previous van driving or courier/collection experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of local and surrounding road networks.
- Reliable, punctual and organised.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage a daily collection schedule.
- Physically able to load and unload goods where required.
- A professional attitude and appearance.
Drivers must have the correct commercial motor insurance in place before starting work, including:
- Hire \& Reward insurance suitable for the work being undertaken.
- Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance with appropriate cover for the goods being transported.
- Valid vehicle insurance covering the vehicle and intended business use.

Monday to Friday
9:00am – 5:30pm
No regular evening or weekend work is required.
