A non\-exhaustive list of the key role responsibilities is detailed below:
· To be the Duty Manager responsible for the hotel, it’s guests, property and team members overnight.
· Oversee and assist in the overall operation within all departments as required.
· Monitor and oversee the night audit process. Completing as required.
· Ensuring the hotel’s cash handling policy is adhered to at all times.
· Responsible for hotel banking, ensuring correct procedure is followed at all times.
· Reporting discrepancies with relevant department heads, alongside senior management as necessary.
· Ensure all systems, processes and SOP’s are up\-to\-date, being adhered to and updated regularly as required.
· Manage the Night Porters, ensuring all jobs and tasks are carried out as required.
· Responsible for the security of the hotel, ensuring regular internal and external walks are completed, with issues identified, resolved and reported as necessary.
· Coordinate all emergency procedures in the event of any incident in and around the hotel, including fire, first aid and other serious incidents.
· Be responsible for cleanliness of the reception and group floor area, completing cleaning tasks as required.
· Have the ability to effectively resolve guest complaints in a positive and professional manner.
· Overall responsibility for the Reception desk during the night time period. Completing check in’s, check out’s, guest reservations and queries in line with department SOPs.
· Overall nighttime responsibility for running of hotel Food \& Beverage outlets and room service program, including the service of food \& drink, ensuring hotel room\-charge only policy out of hours is adhered too.
· Have a key role in conference room setups and cleardowns as required.
· Assist \& Oversee Conference and Banqueting event close down as required.
· Compile the weekly rota ensuring rota reflects business needs, budgets and health \& safety requirements.
· Be responsible for Keys, Floats, Pay Ins ensuring security and pay in procedures are followed at all times.
· Be responsible for cashing up hotel areas in line with hotel cash handling policy.
· Support the wider management team with any relevant task as required.
· Have a physical presence at the front desk and ground floor areas of the hotel as required.
· Liaise with Senior Management reporting serious incidents as required.
· Provide detailed handovers with fellow Duty Managers and Senior Management as necessary.
· Attend Management meetings as necessary.
· Lead by example with a hands on approach, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest company standards.
· Undertake any reasonable required as directed by your line manager, and fellow hotel Senior Management.
