Optical Assistant

We are a true independent practice with a loyal patient base, an exceptional reputation, and a passion for doing things to a high standard. We are looking for an experienced, detail\-driven senior optical dispenser who takes pride in delivering outstanding, personalised patient care.

The Role

This is not a volume\-driven environment. You will have:

• 60\-minute dispensing appointments


• 30\-minute collection \& adjustment appointments


• Your own dispensing diary


• Close 1:1 collaboration with our Optometrists


• The opportunity to see patients from initial dispense through to final adjustments

Clinical \& Technical Expertise Required

You must be confident and experienced in:

• All aspects of dispensing:


• Single vision, bifocals \& multifocals


• Occupational lenses


• High prescriptions \& complex cases


• Frame fitting with meticulous attention to detail


• Understanding patient tolerance levels and troubleshooting adaptation issues


• Accurate and compliant record keeping

Creative \& Commercial Involvement

This is a role for someone who wants influence and help drive our expanding practice forward

You will have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate directly with premium eyewear brands


• Help hand\-pick and curate our frame collections


• Get creative with stock management and inventory strategy


• Introduce new lens technologies and product ideas


• Contribute to business development and service improvements
