We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and hands\-on Operator Assistant to join our busy manufacturing team.
This is a varied shop\-floor role where you’ll work alongside our experienced operators across different areas of production. We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable, keen to learn and happy to get stuck in wherever they are needed.
Previous engineering experience would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential. For us, attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important as experience.
The Role
As an Operator Assistant, your day\-to\-day work will vary depending on production requirements. You’ll receive on\-the\-job training and support while working across areas including:
CNC machining – running CNC machines, loading and changing billets/components, clearing completed parts and keeping machines running efficiently.
Deburring \& finishing – deburring, checking and preparing machined components for the next stage of production.
Gear cutting – operating and assisting with gear cutting machinery, handling components and completing associated finishing work.
Assembly – assisting with the assembly and finishing of components, including flanging, keyways and other associated processes.
Production support – helping across the shop floor wherever required to keep jobs moving and meet production deadlines.
As you gain experience, you’ll become more confident operating different machinery and carrying out tasks independently.

We’re looking for someone who:
Is hardworking, reliable and punctual
Enjoys practical, hands\-on work
Is keen to learn new machinery and processes
Is flexible and happy working across different areas of production
Can follow instructions and work safely
Has good attention to detail
Takes pride in producing quality work
Works well as part of a team

You won’t be limited to one machine or one area. You’ll have the opportunity to work across CNC machining, gear cutting, deburring, finishing and assembly, building a broad range of practical skills along the way.
If you’re hardworking, hands\-on and looking for a role where you can learn, develop your skills and become a valued part of the team, we’d love to hear from you.
