About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager \- Repairs and Caretaking to lead the delivery of responsive repairs and caretaking services across the Council’s housing stock and communal areas.

This is a key operational leadership role responsible for managing teams, contractors and service performance to ensure repairs, estate services and communal areas are maintained to a high standard, while meeting all regulatory, contractual and health and safety requirements.

You will:

  • Lead the day\-to\-day delivery of responsive repairs and caretaking services

  • Manage contractor and operative performance, ensuring quality, compliance and value for money

  • Ensure compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing consumer standards, building safety and health and safety legislation

  • Drive service improvement, operational efficiency and performance management

  • Manage budgets, contracts and service delivery targets

  • Build strong working relationships with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders
About You

You will have experience managing housing repairs, caretaking, maintenance or asset management services within a fast\-paced operational environment.

You will bring:

  • Strong operational and people management skills

  • Experience managing contractors and performance targets

  • Good knowledge of housing repairs, compliance and health and safety requirements

  • Strong communication, organisational and problem\-solving skills

  • A resident\-focused approach with a commitment to service improvement
