Operations Manager – Mister Magpie

Mister Magpie is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join our leadership team.

This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast\-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about building high\-performing teams, delivering operational excellence, and driving business performance across multiple locations.

You’ll work closely with our General Managers, supporting them to achieve their goals, maintain high standards, and create exceptional guest experiences. While coffee experience is desirable, this role is primarily focused on leadership, commercial performance, people development, and operational consistency across the business.

What You'll Bring

• 3\+ years' experience in a multi\-site hospitality, retail, café, or restaurant management role


• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop management teams


• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing sales, labour, costs, and profitability


• Excellent organisational and problem\-solving skills


• A hands\-on leadership style with the ability to support teams where needed


• Experience implementing and maintaining operational standards and processes


• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business


• Coffee and barista experience is desirable but not essential

• Support and develop General Managers across multiple Mister Magpie locations


• Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational performance across the estate


• Monitor key business metrics and identify opportunities for improvement


• Ensure consistency in guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, and service standards


• Lead operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives


• Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and talent development


• Conduct regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews


• Work closely with senior leadership to deliver business objectives and growth plans


• Ensure compliance with food safety, health \& safety, and company policies


• Act as a hands\-on leader, stepping in to support sites when required
