Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager specialising in Catering to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our catering services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring high standards of service, and leading a team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, organisation, and execution of catering events, ensuring client specifications are met with precision and professionalism.
- Supervise and support catering staff, including chefs, servers, and logistics personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency, quality control, and safety standards across all catering activities.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and ensure complete satisfaction from initial enquiry through to post\-event follow\-up.
- Manage inventory levels, procurement processes, and supplier relationships to maintain seamless service delivery.
- Monitor financial performance related to catering operations, including budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies at all times.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analysing operational data and implementing best practices.
- Proven supervising experience within the catering or hospitality industry.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational and decision\-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, staff, and suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail in a fast\-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including weekends or evenings when required for event coverage.
- A recognised management qualification or relevant industry experience is desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for a motivated professional seeking to advance their career in catering operations management while contributing to the delivery of outstanding service experiences.
