Wutian Martial Arts

An award\-winning martial arts academy delivering structured classes for children, teens and adults focused on confidence, discipline, resilience and leadership. We also run adult wellness programmes including Pilates, yoga, mobility and flexibility.

Kidwise After School \& Summer Camp

An award\-winning Children’s enrichment programmes, holiday camps and birthday parties, including LEGO Robotics, Chess, Creative Art, Drama \& Public Speaking, and Kidpreneur business programmes.

Our mission is to build confident, resilient young people through structured and meaningful programmes. We are growing and expanding across London and are looking for a strong operational leader to grow with us.

What This Role Is Really About

This is a hands\-on leadership role with real responsibility.

You will lead holiday camp operations, manage staff rotas, train and mentor coaches, drive revenue through camps and events, and maintain high safeguarding and operational standards.

This is not an assistant role.
This is not entry\-level.
We are looking for someone experienced, confident and ready to lead.

You will help shape systems, improve standards and support the growth of a values\-led start\-up business.

Core Responsibility: Holiday Camps (15 Weeks Per Year)

Holiday camps are the primary focus of this role.

  • Mandatory availability for all 15 weeks of school holiday camps

  • Monday–Friday

  • 7:30am–6:30pm (on\-site leadership required)
You will:
  • Plan and prepare camps well in advance

  • Lead daily staff briefings and debriefings

  • Oversee safeguarding, discipline and safety

  • Maintain high energy and structured delivery

  • Ensure strong parent communication

  • Monitor performance and improve systems term by term
Camp Preparation Timeline

Preparation is structured and planned:

  • Summer Camp: approximately 2 months of preparation

  • Easter Camp: approximately 2 months of preparation

  • Half\-Term Camps: approximately 3 weeks preparation per camp
Preparation includes:
  • Designing weekly themes and structured activities

  • Organising materials and equipment

  • Staffing and rota planning

  • Driving bookings and promotional campaigns

  • Coordinating logistics and room allocations
Term\-Time Responsibilities (30– 40Hours Per Week)

During non\-camp periods, responsibilities include:

  • Managing Kidwise and Wutian calls and enquiries when required

  • Driving camp and birthday party sales

  • Managing Instagram, Stories and TikTok content

  • Taking photos and short videos (with consent)

  • Creating promotional materials using Canva

  • Planning enrichment programmes and activity systems

  • Preparing camp materials and structured games

  • Staff rota planning and scheduling

  • Recruitment and onboarding of new staff
Wutian Operational Support

On\-site operational support required during:

  • Tuesday \& Thursday or Monday \& Wednesday : 4:30pm–8:45pm

  • Saturday: 9:30am–1:30pm
You will ensure sessions run smoothly, maintain safeguarding and cleanliness standards, and support coaches and parents.

Events \& Parent Night Out

  • Organise and oversee Parent Night Out (4:30pm–9:30pm)

  • Coordinate birthday party bookings and staffing

  • Ensure events are structured, energetic and professionally delivered

  • Proactively grow weekend revenue
Leadership \& Team Management
  • Recruit and onboard quality staff

  • Deliver structured team training

  • Set operational standards and expectations

  • Manage punctuality and performance

  • Build and manage all staff rotas

  • Ensure adequate cover at all times

  • Foster a positive, accountable and disciplined culture
Studio Operations \& Compliance
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation

  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed consistently

  • Uphold health \& safety and fire compliance

  • Be visible and present as the operational lead
Working Structure

Holiday Camps (15 Weeks Per Year)

  • Monday–Friday

  • 7:30am–6:30pm

  • Fully on\-site

  • Time off in lieu provided after heavier weeks
Term Time
  • Approximately 30–45 hours per week depending on season

  • Mix of operational, preparation, sales and leadership duties

  • Confident handling parent communication

  • Comfortable working long camp hours

  • Strong safeguarding awareness

  • Confident using Instagram and TikTok for business

  • Resilient, practical and solutions\-focused
Desirable
  • Camp leadership experience

  • Experience in enrichment, sports or activity settings

  • Sales confidence

  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
