The Operations \& Events Co\-ordinator’s role focuses on the set\-up and operation of all events run within our premises, external venues and the running of Cooksey Catering.

Our team works to a 5\-day rota, overlapping to ensure we are covered 7 days a week. This will require working Saturdays and Sundays, with 9\-10 days off per month on a rota basis. For special occasions or key events, we aim to provide cover. There will be a requirement on event days to be present until all guests have vacated the premises after a late night, and oversee the shutdown of the venue.

Manor Hill House has a varied and busy schedule of events during the summer months, so please only apply if you are available to work full\-time most weeks during the months of July and August 2026\.

Due to our rural location, your own transport is essential. It is preferred that your time to commute to the venue (B61 9HE) is less than a 30\-minute drive.

*The role \& key responsibilities for Manor Hill House:*

  • Engaging and liaising with all suppliers for the event set up, including but not limited to, DJ, florist, entertainment, etc.

  • Preparing reception rooms, booking the front of house staff and setting up decorations or equipment required for the event which includes moving tables, chairs etc

  • Coordinating and managing staff on the day of an event to help with set up and service in areas such as the bar, marquee, guest rooms, function suites and back of house

  • Ensuring that the venue and all facilities are kept and maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness

  • Handling and converting enquiries from initial contact through to the final details meeting

  • Conducting tours; selling the venue to prospective couples and clients

  • Coordinating all client information for both weddings and functions at Manor Hill House
*The role \& key responsibilities for Cooksey Catering:*
  • Oversee the processing of meal orders

  • Working with the catering team to ensure all catering products and packaging items are sourced suitably

  • Packing and dispatching customer orders

  • Support marketing and promotional events
*The right candidate will have:*
  • Experience working in hospitality

  • An outgoing, positive approach to all work

  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and good time management

  • Excellent administrative and communication skills

  • A customer\-focused individual with a friendly and professional attitude

  • The ability to work under pressure

  • Availability to work frequent weekends and late nights

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and tools is desirable
