Job description
We are seeking a motivated and curious individual to lead an exciting Knowledge Transfer Partnership project with Dent Steel Solutions Ltd (DSSL) – an innovative and forward\-thinking steel stockholder serving global defence, marine and construction markets.
The Operational Transformation Project Lead will work with a collaborative team at DSSL, supported by an academic team from Leeds Beckett Business School to co\-develop a Data Led Warehouse Efficiency Model, combining advanced analytics with people\-centred approach to change. The Role
Supported by a comprehensive project plan and academic experts at Leeds Beckett University, you will work with the team at DSSL to undertake the following:
Warehouse Optimisation / Data Analysis, including:
- Analysis of existing warehouse operations.
- Exploration of computer modelling techniques alongside traditional analysis to develop innovative approaches.
- Creation of scalable dynamic frameworks to account for material density, equipment limitations and safety constraints.
- Build trust through strong communication skills, demonstrate value through improved efficiency.
- Introduce new ways of working.
- Balance project development while not disrupting time\-sensitive business as usual.
- Manage stakeholder expectations across the business.
DSSL is a leading UK independent large steel\-plate stockholder serving major global markets. As a specialist supplier of very large, heavy steel plates of exacting quality, DSSL occupy a 5\-acre site in Bradford, from where the successful KTP candidate will work.
The Person
This is a unique role spanning both operational optimisation and cultural transformation, as such applicants need to demonstrate the ability to balance structured thinking with flexibility and responsiveness to change. The role will also require excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and drive objectives through strong interpersonal skills and effective stakeholder engagement.
