We are hiring multiple candidates for this high\-responsibility role.The RoleAs a Transport Controller / Operations Coordinator, you will be at the very heart of our daily operations. You will hold real autonomy to make fast, impactful decisions that keep our logistics network running like clockwork.Key Responsibilities:
- Driver Dispatch: Assign jobs to drivers dynamically based on live locations, vehicle capacities, and route efficiency.
- Live Monitoring: Track ongoing deliveries to ensure they meet strict, time\-critical deadlines.
- Customer \& Driver Liaison: Act as the primary, confident point of contact for field drivers and corporate clients.
- Problem Solving: Efficiently handle last\-minute booking changes, traffic disruptions, and urgent customer requests.
- Data Management: Keep internal logistics systems and office software updated with precise, real\-time tracking data.
- Education (Mandatory): Minimum of a college level/further education qualification, high school diploma with passing marks, or an equivalent certified educational foundation.
- Experience (Preferred): 2\+ years of experience working within transport control, courier dispatch, traffic management, or fast\-paced logistics coordination.
- Licence: Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
- Communication: Clear, assertive, and confident communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to speak 2\+ languages is highly preferred to coordinate effectively with a diverse driver fleet and customer base.
- Geography \& Routing: Excellent practical knowledge of UK road networks, arterial routes, and postcodes.
- Pressure Management: A proven ability to stay calm, focused, and level\-headed under pressure.
- Tech Literacy: High comfort level utilizing modern logistics/fleet software and standard Microsoft Office suites.
