Operational Buyer – Indirect and Series (m/f/d)

Role description:

To strengthen our purchasing team in Portugal, we are looking for a dedicated and detail\-oriented Operational Buyer. In this role, you will ensure the availability of materials, manage supplier relationships, and support procurement processes in a dynamic international environment.

What can you expect?

• Availability Assurance: Ensure the continuous availability of required materials and components for production.


• Operational Procurement Processing: Execute purchasing activities, including RFQs, quotation comparisons, purchase order processing, order follow\-up, and delivery monitoring.


• Supplier Coordination \& Second Source Management: Coordinate suppliers, support second\-source initiatives, and resolve delivery deviations to ensure supply continuity and mitigate risks.


• Indirect Material Procurement: Procure indirect materials necessary for operations and services.


• ERP \& Master Data Management: Maintain and manage purchasing\-related master data and processes within SAP S/4HANA.


• Communication \& Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and international teams.


• Supplier Performance Support: Support supplier evaluations regarding delivery performance, quality, and adherence to deadlines.

Your profile:

• Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.


• Experience: Up to 2 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain roles.


• Technical Know\-how: Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes. Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA) and strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.


• Working Style: Structured, detail\-oriented, and solution\-driven working approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.


• Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive and reliable mindset in an international environment.


• Languages: Very good written and spoken Portuguese and English.
