Operation Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to support the day\-to\-day operation of our sortation centre and ensure safe, efficient and high\-quality parcel processing.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management

• Organise and allocate daily operational tasks according to shift plans, operational requirements and volume forecasts.


• Ensure smooth and efficient sortation centre operations during start\-up and ongoing business activities.


• Monitor workflow and productivity to achieve operational targets and service levels.


• Support the implementation of operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor key operational performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, quality and service performance.


• Work closely with the Operations Management team to implement improvement plans and corrective actions.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

• Ensure compliance with company Health \& Safety policies and procedures.


• Promote a strong safety culture across the operation.


• Conduct regular workplace inspections and ensure operational standards and housekeeping (5S/6S) requirements are maintained.


• Investigate and report operational incidents and support corrective actions where required.

• Coordinate and respond to operational disruptions, delays and unexpected incidents.


• Escalate critical issues promptly and implement contingency plans to minimise operational impact.


• Support root cause analysis and preventative actions following operational incidents.

• Manage agency workforce attendance and deployment to ensure sufficient staffing levels.


• Monitor agency worker performance and productivity.


• Support training, induction and operational coaching for agency workers.


• Ensure all workers comply with operational and safety standards.

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, parcel delivery or distribution environment.


• Experience supervising operational teams in a fast\-paced environment.


• Strong leadership and people management skills.


• Good understanding of Health \& Safety requirements within warehouse operations.


• Ability to work under pressure and manage changing operational priorities.


• Strong communication and problem\-solving skills.


• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.


• Flexibility to work shifts, evenings and weekends when required.

• Experience within parcel sortation, logistics hubs or e\-commerce fulfilment operations.


• Experience managing agency labour and temporary workforce.


• Knowledge of warehouse KPI management and continuous improvement practices.
