About the Role

A leading care home group is seeking an experienced Operations Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across its portfolio of care homes throughout England.

This senior leadership role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with extensive experience in elderly care operations, regulatory compliance, business development, and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the operational strategy across the care home portfolio
Drive excellence in care quality, compliance, and resident satisfaction
Ensure all homes achieve and maintain high CQC standards
Provide leadership and support to Regional Managers and Home Managers
Develop and implement operational improvement plans
Monitor financial performance, budgets, and business objectives
Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and service enhancement
Build strong relationships with regulators, local authorities, and stakeholders
Lead organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives
Report directly to the Executive Board and senior stakeholders

Candidate Requirements

Significant senior leadership experience within the care home sector
Previous experience as an Operations Director, Head of Operations, or equivalent senior role
Extensive knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks
Proven track record of improving operational performance and care quality
Strong commercial, financial, and strategic management skills
Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
Ability to manage large multi\-site operations
Full UK Driving Licence
