Occupational Health Physician
Overview
Workforce Wellbeing Ltd are seeking to recruit a full time / part time Occupational Health Physician (OHP) to join our friendly clinical team. We would welcome applications from Diploma\-level Physicians motivated to develop their career in Occupational Medicine as well as those OHPs wishing to advance their training through the CESR route., Interest from Accredited Specialists is also welcomed. There are excellent opportunities for continuous professional development, with encouragement and support provided for those wishing to progress their skills and attain additional qualifications.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- DOccMed or higher.
- Full driving licence.
- Experience in telephone / video\-based consultations.
- Self\-motivated individual with an eye for detail, dedication to quality and desire to make a positive difference to our team.
- Team player with excellent communication \& ICT Skills.
- Commitment to maintaining CPD and assisting in internal audit.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational health assessments, including fitness\-for\-work evaluations, pre\-placement medicals, and health surveillance programs.
- Manage cases of sickness absence, rehabilitation, and return\-to\-work plans.
- Advise on health risks in the workplace and contribute to risk assessments in collaboration with Health \& Safety teams.
- Provide expert reports and recommendations to support HR and line managers in employment decisions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of health promotion and well\-being programs.
- Deliver services in compliance with relevant laws and professional standards (e.g. Health and Safety at Work Act, Equality Act, GDPR).
- Participate in the formulation and review of occupational health policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Liaise with external healthcare providers, specialists, and insurance bodies as needed.
- Support training and awareness initiatives on occupational health and wellbeing issues.
Pay: £80,000\.00\-£120,000\.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cardiff CF23 8RU
