Job Description
We are hiring 2 Shift Leaders for our Earls Gate Energy Centre in Grangemouth, Falkirk.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate shift personnel and plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant performance.
- Promote and maintain a strong HSE culture through safety meetings, audits, inspections, housekeeping standards, and compliance monitoring.
- Ensure all operators are adequately trained, competent, and compliant with normal and emergency operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate operational records, shift logs, system checks, maintenance requests, and event\-based reporting.
- Support plant reliability by identifying operational issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring equipment remains in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ operational experience within an EfW plant, power plant, or similar heavy process industry environment.
- Previous experience at Shift Team Leader (STL) or supervisory level preferred.
- Strong operational knowledge of boilers, turbines, auxiliary systems, and power generation processes.
- Experience in plants utilising waste fuel, mass burn, biomass, or fossil fuel technologies desirable.
- Proven ability to manage plant operations, personnel, and emergency situations in a high\-risk environment.
