Pay: £30 per hour
Hours: 40–50 hours per week
Salary Range: £62,400\.00 t0 £78,000\.00
Start Date: Immediate / as soon as possible

Palace House Nursing Home is seeking an experienced and highly capable Nursing Home Manager to lead the home through a period of improvement and turnaround.
This is a hands\-on role for someone who understands nursing home operations, CQC expectations, compliance, clinical governance, staff management and quality improvement. The successful candidate must be confident working in a challenging environment and have proven experience improving services that require urgent operational and regulatory support.
The role would suit a strong, practical and resilient manager who can take control quickly, support the team, improve standards and drive the home towards a safe, compliant and well\-led service.
Key Responsibilities
The Nursing Home Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading the day\-to\-day management of the nursing home
- Driving improvement across care quality, compliance, staffing and clinical standards
- Supporting the home to move from a challenging position towards improved CQC outcomes
- Managing nurses, carers, senior staff and department leads
- Ensuring safe medication management and strong clinical oversight
- Reviewing care plans, risk assessments, incidents, accidents and safeguarding matters
- Improving documentation, audits, governance and action plans
- Supporting staff through supervision, coaching and performance management
- Ensuring residents receive safe, dignified and person\-centred care
- Working closely with the provider, consultants and wider senior team
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, professionals and commissioners
- Taking ownership of improvement plans and ensuring actions are completed quickly
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience managing a nursing home
- Strong turnaround experience within a care home or nursing home setting
- Excellent understanding of CQC requirements and inspection standards
- Strong clinical knowledge and confidence managing nursing care
- Experience dealing with safeguarding, complaints, audits and compliance issues
- Ability to lead under pressure and make firm decisions
- Strong staff leadership and communication skills
- Experience improving poor practice and embedding better systems
- Right to work in England
- Flexibility to work 40–50 hours per week
