Nursery Room Manager
As a Room Leader, you’ll take responsibility for the day\-to\-day running of your room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. You’ll lead by example, support your team, and work closely with parents to give every child the best possible start.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a team of practitioners within your room
- Planning and delivering engaging, age\-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
- Monitoring children’s progress and ensuring accurate observations and assessments
- Supporting children with SEND through inclusive practices and tailored support
- Creating a warm, safe, and inspiring learning environment
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers, sharing updates and addressing concerns
- Ensuring safeguarding, health \& safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
- Supporting staff development and acting as a role model within the nursery
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Confidence in leading a room or mentoring other practitioners
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
- Experience supporting children with SEND (desirable)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Paediatric First Aid (preferred, or willingness to obtain)
