Nursery Room Manager

As a Room Leader, you’ll take responsibility for the day\-to\-day running of your room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. You’ll lead by example, support your team, and work closely with parents to give every child the best possible start.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of practitioners within your room


• Planning and delivering engaging, age\-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS


• Monitoring children’s progress and ensuring accurate observations and assessments


• Supporting children with SEND through inclusive practices and tailored support


• Creating a warm, safe, and inspiring learning environment


• Building strong relationships with parents and carers, sharing updates and addressing concerns


• Ensuring safeguarding, health \& safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times


• Supporting staff development and acting as a role model within the nursery

What We’re Looking For

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)


• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting


• Confidence in leading a room or mentoring other practitioners


• Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development


• Experience supporting children with SEND (desirable)


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• Paediatric First Aid (preferred, or willingness to obtain)
