Play House Day Nursery, Early Years Leader, Band 5, 37\.5 hours per week, Based at Sutton, Surrey. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Leader to run our baby room and care for the children of staff at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. We require a reliable, flexible member of the team showing initiative and commitment. An ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form will be essential. Applicants must have a minimum Level 5 qualification in Childcare and Education and level A\-C in GCSE English. The role of the Room Leader is to manage and supervise a team providing a safe, welcoming and warm environment for the group care of babies, toddlers and pre\-school children.

The aim of this role is to develop the social, emotional, physical and intellectual capabilities of the child, providing a learning environment that offers a range of play experiences and activities.

  • To be responsible for the nursery in management absence.

  • To carry out performance development reviews with your staff, setting objectives and giving constructive support in performance development.

  • To carry out regular supervisions of staff to monitor development.

  • To take the lead in planning and organising the smooth running of a group room.

  • To plan, hold and record team meetings.
